Letting Go

RJG-Arapaho PassFrom Thich Nhat Hanh’s Peace is Every Step: “Imagine a fellow who goes to a flea market, sees a bargain, and brings it home even though he doesn’t need it. He sees a low price, and he just buys. In a few weeks his house is so filled with all this stuff, he can hardly get in or out. Anytime he tries to move around the place, he bumps into another item he brought home from the market. He has no more space to live. The same is true of our mind. If we have too many worries, fears, and doubts, we have no room for living and loving. We need to practice letting go.”
